ACNC and Not-for-Profit Organisation Audits
IK Audit, Assurance and Advisory is experienced in delivering reporting services aligned with the requirements of the Australian Charities and Not-for-profits Commission (ACNC) Act, supporting compliance and transparency.
What is an ACNC audit?
An ACNC audit is an independent examination of a charity’s financial report to provide assurance that it has been prepared in accordance with the Australian Charities and Not-for-profits Commission (ACNC) Act. The audit opinion confirms whether the financial report presents a true and fair view of the charity’s financial position and performance.
In Australia, charities registered with the ACNC are generally classified based on annual revenue:
- Small charities – under $250,000
- Medium charities – $250,000 to under $1 million
- Large charities – $1 million and above
Reporting and audit requirements vary depending on size, with medium and large charities more likely to require a financial review or full audit.
